MICE 2018 Highlights

We hope you enjoy the highlights from our time at the 2018 Melbourne Coffee International Expo along with a few photos from some of Melbourne’s finest coffee traps we visited along the way.

The best things about MICE

From our point of view the two best things about MICE 2018 were the coffee and the people. The coffee speaks for itself. When you have an exhibition hall jam-packed with passionate and incredibly talented farmers and baristas, you’re bound to get some of the best coffee imaginable. And MICE 2018 did not disappoint. But the more impacting aspect were the people. MICE was overflowing with generous, passionate, clever and innovative people. From what we saw and experienced, the future of specialty coffee in this country and beyond will be amazing. And that’s great news for us all.

The road to MICE 2018

In less than two weeks a busload of White Horse Coffee staff and a truckload of equipment will be headed to Melbourne for MICE 2018. As I write this I’m sitting at our Roastery watching the flurry of activity around me. Brian and Conan are roasting beautiful coffee on the Probat. Deklan and D-Train are […]

Christmas Blend

A well-loved White Horse Coffee tradition

I love this time of year! Yeah I know it’s busy and we’d all benefit from slowing down a little. And yes, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the pressure to buy things most of us don’t need (or want!). But, there are many things to love about Christmastime. The lights. The food. The hospitality. […]

Why we love MICE and why we think it’s important

This past week we have been showcasing our locally roasted White Horse Coffee and ACME & Co. Cups at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, affectionately known as MICE. Before we left for Melbourne, we wrote a short article about what MICE is and why you should care (find it here), so we won’t rehash any […]
